Creflo Dollar: Single and Whole

Single and Whole - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Whether you are single because you are divorced, widowed or simply have yet to connect with Mr. or Ms. Right, I urge you to cherish the life you have been blessed with. Contrary to popular belief you arenot half of a person because you are not married. You are complete in God, and set aside for His use. In this season in your life, realize your God-given uniqueness in the eyes of your Heavenly Father. There is no one else in the world just like you. And while you may not have discovered it fully, God has a specific plan and purpose for your life, no matter your age. There is something you can do, a void only you can fill. If you are not enjoying your singleness, and seeking God’s will for your life, you are doing yourself and others an injustice. This could be one of the best and most fruitful times of your life if you would wholeheartedly embrace it and allow God to use you to be a blessing in the lives of others.

It is not unusual for singles, especially Christian singles, to feel pressured to be in a relationship. Society, through entertainment and the media, depicts the life of a Christian single as lonely and boring. Many Christian singles say other Christians make them feel like outcasts as well. However, Paul who wrote a large portion of the New Testament was happy being single—even Jesus was single!

Your life as a single Christian doesn’t have to be filled with gloom. Look around. There are plenty of happy and fulfilled single Christians out there, so there is no excuse. If you are not doing so, start living your life to the fullest today!

Creflo Dollar: Expressing Faith for Results

Expressing Faith for Results - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

When you’re struggling unsuccessfully with a problem in your life, maybe it’s because you’re trying to handle it all on your own. Asking friends and family members for help might provide a temporary solution for a while. But, no matter how strong or able-bodied you may be, sometimes life can be overwhelming. Having faith can make the difference between success and failure, but many of us don’t understand the spiritual impact faith has on our lives.

The world can talk about having faith in yourself, faith in others, or faith in some sort of earthly doctrine. But faith in the Biblical sense connects us to God and His tremendous power to help us right at our point of need. True faith compels us to take a course of action, with no solid proof, visible to our own senses, that our desired outcome even exists. Exhibiting this kind of faith releases God’s power to intervene.

A number of stories in the Bible illustrate how faith produced results in people’s lives. One example describes that while Jesus was speaking to a crowd of followers someone suffering from health problems approached Him for help. “Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, ‘If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.’ Jesus turned and saw her. ‘Take heart, daughter,’ he said, ‘your faith has healed you.’ And the woman was healed at that moment,” (Matthew 9: 20-22, NIV).

Succeeding in Everything You Do

Succeeding in Everything You Do - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Two dictionary definitions of success are to achieve a desired outcome, or to reach a goal one has set for oneself. Depending on what we want out of life, success can mean many things and can be reached by multiple paths. These definitions focus on our own self-efforts to get what we want, but the Bible has a whole different perspective of success. Worldly success can be fleeting and hollow, but God wants us to have the true and lasting success that only comes from Him.

We’ve all heard stories of rich business owners who chased after money at all costs only to lose it all, famous movie stars who committed suicide, or fabulously wealthy entertainers who were miserable and lonely. What many people go their entire lives without realizing is that true success and prosperity comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Grace-based prosperity is rooted in our willingness to depend on His abilities, not ours.

God wants us to succeed in every area of our lives, not just financially. As our heavenly Father, He wants us, His children, to experience financial prosperity. But God’s definition of prosperity goes way beyond money. His will for us includes a healthy body and mind, a tranquil, born-again spirit, a happy marriage, and a peaceful family life (3 John 1:2).

The definition of grace is God’s unmerited, undeserved, and unearned favor, and our faith in it gives us access to it. When we truly believe in our hearts that God wants this kind of grace-based prosperity for us, it will eventually come to pass. Our present circumstances don’t matter at all when we let God take charge of our lives. We can learn from the Bible story about Joseph, who was sold into slavery but became highly successful because of God’s favor (Genesis 39:1-3).

Joseph could have turned bitter because of what life had thrown at him, and he could have strive through his own efforts to change his circumstances. But instead, he relied on the Lord, and God caused him to prosper in everything and become a ruler over Egypt. Joseph’s master trusted him because Joseph was honest, wise, and had a good work ethic and a godly character (Genesis 39:4-6).
