Creflo Dollar: Let Go of Reasoning

Let Go of Reasoning - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

Have you ever heard people say, “You shouldn’t question God?” I’ve heard that all my life. You may be believing God to be debt free; but when it doesn’t happen the way you planned, doubt sets in. Then, all of your patience goes out the window, and you begin to question whether God’s Word is really true. This devilish type of questioning is called “reasoning”, and it is born out of the flesh.

The flesh is “a mindset or a way of thinking that contradicts the Word of God.” It always operates through reasoning or through questioning that comes out of a heart of unbelief. It’s not a sin to ask God a legitimate question; it’s when you begin to question God’s goodness and ability that you get into trouble.

James 1:5 instructs us to inquire of God when we need wisdom. An example of this is when the angel Gabriel told Mary that she would become pregnant and that her son would save people from their sins. Mary asked, “How shall this be since I’ve never been with a man?” (Luke 1:34.) She had a legitimate question. On the other hand, if you ask, “If You are such a powerful and mighty God, why am I still in debt?” or “Why am I still sick, I thought You were the Healer?,” you are asking questions out of reasoning.

The above questions don’t solicit God for wisdom; instead they challenge Him for an explanation or justification. If you question God this way, you’ve developed what the Bible calls “an evil heart of unbelief” (Hebrews 3:12). You’re actually looking for a reason not to believe God. Doubt has gotten a foothold in your mind because you’ve let what you can see, hear and feel cause you to question the truth of God’s Word.

You show your true feelings when you say things like, “Why am I going through this?” or “I don’t deserve to go through this. I sowed a seed on Sunday.” You are blaming God for what is happening in your life. If you continue to talk this way, you’ll eventually sever your faith connection altogether.

You have to stop listening to the stack of bills that continually say, “I’m growing everyday.” Instead, tune into the Word that says wealth and riches shall be in your house (Psalm 112:3). Instead of questioning the legitimacy of God’s Word, take authority over your situation and claim what is rightfully yours!

Walking in the Spirit is what defeats the flesh; so don’t allow your present circumstances to move you off of the promises of God. Keep your thinking in line with the Word and stake your claim to the wealth and healing that belong to you. Settle in your mind that no one can prosper, heal and deliver you like El Elyon. He is the Most High God, and He has only good things in store for you. Ask God for wisdom for your specific situation, and then praise Him for the answer. Make the decision to stand on the Word, and don’t move off of it until you receive what you are standing for!

Creflo Dollar: Get Your Life in Order

Get Your Life in Order - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

Is your life in order?

In today’s society, we often believe that it is acceptable to skip certain fundamentals of living a healthy lifestyle. We don’t eat properly, exercise regularly or get enough rest. We’ve become accustomed to running the rat race—eating, sleeping and working on the run. But when we let work, friends and even our families consume us, we end up feeling tired and overwhelmed. This is because we don’t put first things first in our lives.

Many of us suffer the same consequences spiritually. We often neglect companionship with our heavenly Father and His Word, which leaves us frustrated, depressed and confused. The ailments of life are often indicators that something is wrong with us spiritually. Instead of hurrying through life, desperately beating yourself up and suffering from one failure to the next, you should rearrange your priorities. This is the time to back up, slow down and do things in the right order.

Strengthening your personal relationship with God is the only way to renew your mind and overcome your shortcomings. If you could have done it yourself, you would have done it already! “Right acting” will not necessarily produce “right thinking,” but right thinking will produce right actions. So how do you develop right thinking? By getting your mind lined up with the One Who created it.

In Galatians 5:16, Paul offers this advice: “…Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” In our daily lives, we fulfill the lust of the flesh when we hurry, worry and attempt to do everything ourselves, skipping the vital time we need to develop a relationship with God. It is only when we get our minds lined up with God and His Word that we truly put first things first.

Suppose you decide to take a “fun break” at home one evening, and you play around in the mud with your dog. Then you realize that you need to get ready for bed because you’ve got to go to work the next morning. What if you skip taking a bath and go straight to bed? Everything that you touch will be covered with mud the next morning! Obviously, this type of backward thinking is unreasonable. You know that cleanliness is a necessity. Think of God as your soap and water. You must draw closer to Him to overcome the mess you’ve made in your life (James 4:8).

Doing things backwards is just as detrimental to your health physically as it is spiritually. Romans 12:2 says, “…be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” Renewing your mind with God’s Word is the key to having a healthy spiritual life. To acquaint yourself with Him you must do the research. Worrying about problems will not make them go away. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 that you should seek the kingdom of God first, and He will make sure that you get the things you need.

Creflo Dollar: Communication is the Key

Communication is the Key - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

Marriage and family relationships don’t have to be as challenging as the world would have you believe. When you let the love of God influence your interactions with other people, you can actually simplify your relationships. This is not to say that you won’t have challenges, but when you apply the principles of the Scriptures, you’ll be more equipped to handle them. One of the keys to managing challenges within your home is effective communication. It is by far one of the most important tools for fostering growth and building fruitful family relationships.

Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines communication as “a process by which information is exchanged between individuals.” While communication is not just an exchange of words, the primary way we communicate with others is through language. That’s why it is so important that you master effective communication by knowing what to say, how to say it and when to say it. Often you will see husbands and wives in conflict because of careless words that were spoken, or statements that were made at the wrong time.

When choosing your words, remember that timing is everything. Proverbs 25:11 (AMP) says, “A word fitly spoken and in due season is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” The Word makes it clear that being an effective communicator means being able to discern when your spouse or family member is in a position to receive what you have to say. For example, it does no good to lecture or complain when the person you’re speaking to is already agitated or in a bad mood. You will be more successful if you pray and ask God to show you when to have the discussion or share whatever is on your mind. He will let you know the best time, place and manner in which to proceed.

Sharing your thoughts and opinions is important, but effective communication involves more than that. You can communicate your love for others by being a good listener too. Everyone wants to talk and get their point across, but how willing are you to listen? Listening involves being attentive and understanding. A good listener should also be an active listener, or one who quickly acts on what someone else shares. Active listening demonstrates that you honor others enough to not only consider what they express to you, but also that you plan to do something about it.

There is an art to effective communication. Your goal in communicating with other people should be to impart information with honest, straightforward words. Ephesians 4:15 says, “But speaking the truth in love, may grow into him in all things….” Truthful words are the most powerful words you can use. Whether you are giving praise or constructive criticism, telling the truth in a loving and non-threatening way makes all the difference. Lying should never be an option. Even when you are concerned about hurting the feelings of others, it is still better to tell the truth than to shade or exaggerate your feelings in any way.

Learning to lovingly communicate takes time and practice. But you can be sure that you will have plenty of opportunities to work on it. Begin right where you are on your job and in your home. We have all been challenged in this area at times, but learning to speak words of love and encouragement is critical to maintaining an atmosphere of peace in your home. Good communication is the key to experiencing abundance in your personal relationships. So start speaking the truth in love today!

Creflo Dollar: The Source of the Anointing

The Source of the Anointing - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

The “anointing” is the burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of God, and it is every Christian’s weapon against the devil and his works. When the anointing is on your life, your enemies are placed under your feet (Psalm 66:3; Psalm 110:1-7). To walk in this awesome power of God, love must be your foundation.

Many Believers want the power of God operating in their lives, but they aren’t willing to develop the character that is necessary to sustain that power. God’s character is love. Without love, the power of God won’t be there. The love of God is the source of His anointing.

Although Christians have mastered numerous biblical practices and principles, many have failed to realize that the love of God is the foundation of them all. Everything in the kingdom of God has its origin in the love laws. In Matthew 22:34-40, Jesus discusses these laws of love:

But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

These people had a religious understanding of God and they operated by the law, but they didn’t have a revelation of His love. Jesus set the record straight when He informed them that love is the basis for all the law and everything the prophets said. That’s why walking in love is the most important thing you can do.

Jesus’ compassion for people released the power of God to flow through Him to minister to their needs. Matthew 9:36 (AMP) says, “When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd.” You, the Believer, have the same love of God inside you that Jesus had. When you receive Him as your Lord and Savior, your heart is infused with it (Romans 5:5).

The anointing is a divine enabling; it is God’s ability on your ability, enabling you to do what you couldn’t do on your own. In other words, we can be like God in spirit and power. This enabling power is an outflow of the Holy Spirit through human vessels. It is the anointing on your life that is responsible for your fulfillment, accomplishment and productivity. When you find yourself accomplishing things that you never dreamed you could accomplish, you will realize that God’s power is working through you!

In order to experience this kind of power, you must cultivate the love of God in your life. Galatians 5:22-24 lists the components of love that you must develop in order to truly walk in the spirit. Loving others isn’t an option; it is a commandment. Having the power of God in your life depends on your willingness to live a life of love. Make the decision today to tap into your Power Source!

Creflo Dollar: Eating to Live

Eating to Live - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

When people hear the word “lust,” they often automatically think of sexual sin. Lust, however, actually encompasses much more than sexual perversion. It includes any area of your life that is controlled by a desire that you can’t seem to quench. Eating is definitely an area where people allow their appetites to control them. This lack of control is especially evident in the United States. Obesity, high blood pressure and other serious health challenges are rampant among many men and women because they don’t have any control where their eating is concerned. Eating without restraint is just as bad as indulging in sexual sin. God looks at both as dangerous forms of abusing your body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

When you don’t understand the purpose for something, abuse is inevitable. For example, if you were to attempt to use a car like you would a boat, your car would become ruined. That’s because the manufacturer didn’t create it to be used in water. In essence, you are abusing your car. The same is true for your body. While God created food for nourishment and eating to be a pleasurable experience, it was not meant to be abused. Overeating and refusing to use restraint in the type and quantity of foods you eat is gluttony, and it is sin (Proverbs 23:21).

First Corinthians 6:19-20 says, “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” Whether you are talking about sex or food, when you sin against your body in any way, you are abusing your temple.

Lacking restraint in eating is an easy area in which to become neglectful. People use food to deal with all kinds of issues, including depression and emotional despair. Besides emotional eating, some people simply overeat because they have made a habit of it. Their flesh is trained to eat more than they need to sustain them, rather than eating just what their bodies need for nourishment.

The key to overcoming gluttony is to renew your mind with the understanding that God desires for you to have complete mastery over your appetite for food. The Apostle Paul got hold of what was necessary to get the upper hand over his body when he said:

And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway” (1 Corinthians 9:25-27).

You simply have to discipline yourself in this area. First, you’ll have to renew your mind (Romans 12:1-2) by looking at food differently. Rather than eating because you’re bored or depressed or as something you mindlessly do while watching TV, begin to look at your body as a machine that needs the proper fuel to function properly.

Think of eating like filling your car’s gas tank. Naturally, the best type of gas is “premium.” It keeps your vehicle running in optimum condition and is best for your engine. In addition, you may have seen the signs that say, “Don’t Top Off.” To fill your gas tank beyond the limit is asking for trouble. You should fill it up with the best fuel and then stop when the tank is full. This is the same way you should look at eating. Consume the highest quality of foods to maintain your health, and eat what you need to keep your body running, without overdoing it.

If you want to control your flesh rather than allowing it to control you, you will need to make a quality decision. You’ll have to set your mind on restraining your appetite for food. In addition, you’ll need to come up with an eating plan to establish personal guidelines and boundaries as well as incorporate moderate exercise into your lifestyle. By adopting a healthy lifestyle, you’ll start to view food differently, and you’ll begin to eat to live, rather than living to eat.

Proverbs 25:28 (The Amplified Bible) says, “He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down and without walls.” When you can’t control your will where your appetite is concerned, your body will eventually break down. Get control over your appetite by renewing your mind and exercising self-control and restraint. Though it may be hard at first, your body will thank you for it later!

Creflo Dollar: Faith That Brings Manifestation

Faith That Brings Manifestation - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

Years ago, Tina Turner recorded a song titled What’s Love Got to Do With It? In it, she refers to love as a “secondhand emotion.” The song became one of her biggest hits. Unfortunately, the song’s message can cause people to believe that love is powerless and should not be the basis for building and maintaining strong relationships. Nothing could be further from the truth. Love is the most powerful force in the universe. Why do I say that? Because God is love, and His love is preeminent.

The word preeminent means, “having paramount rank, dignity or importance.” Anything that is preeminent has undoubted superiority, which makes it superior to any other force in the universe. Ultimately, everyone must give an account to the superior force of love.

God wants us to live a life of love—His agapé love. Agapé love is supernatural, unconditional, limitless, one-sided and doesn’t require love in return. It seeks the advantage, pleasure and well-being of others and doesn’t regard itself. However, most people love others according to human emotional love, which is selfish. This type of love only loves the lovely, has limits and is based on conditions.

For Believers, there is nothing more important than learning to love others. Nothing in your life—finances, family, healing and so on—will reach its fullest potential until you perfect your love walk. For instance, many Christians are quick to step out in faith only to become disappointed and frustrated when their prayers are not answered or they fail to receive breakthrough after applying the principles they’ve learned. I am not ashamed to admit that I used to experience those same frustrations. Finally, I decided to search the Scriptures for answers and made an awesome discovery: faith works by love (Galatians 5:5-6)!

It doesn’t matter how many scriptures you stand on, how hard you pray or how much seed you sow; your heart’s desires will not manifest if you have not first cultivated the fruit of love. Simply put, the love of God is the preeminent force and supersedes every faith principle, confession and good work you do.

John 14:21 says, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” If you really love God, then you will obey His commandment to walk in love (John 15:12). Fortunately, God does not give commands that we are unable to carry out. The moment people become born again the Holy Spirit takes up residence in them and fills them with God’s love and ability. Where there is love, there is faith. And faith leads to manifestation!

Thanksgiving: A Key to Abundance, by: Creflo Dollar

Thanksgiving: A Key to Abundance - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

What would you do with more money than you could possibly spend in your lifetime? Even if you didn’t want the money for yourself, what would you do for others if you had the means? Would you buy houses and other assets for your parents and siblings? Maybe you would donate money toward finding a cure for cancer or feeding hungry children around the globe. Naturally, you would take care of your own debts and expenses, but after that, would you try to help others? Some people say they don’t need millions of dollars, but consider this: The New York Times reported that Bill Gates has contributed $25 million toward an AIDS vaccine, $50 million to fight malaria and $1 billion toward scholarships for minority students.

1. Living a lifestyle of thanksgiving will position you to receive the same kind of abundance.

Having an excess of money and resources is particularly convenient when disaster strikes. After Hurricane Katrina devastated parts of the U.S. Gulf Coast in August, for example, Oprah Winfrey immediately launched a Web site featuring a gift registry, where millions of people purchased furniture, made donations and even bought houses for Katrina victims. In addition, Oprah wrote a personal check for $10 million

2 . Not everyone will be a media mogul, but all people have the potential to maximize their gifts and achieve some degree of success and wealth. Would you prefer to remain average, only considering your own goals and dreams, or become extraordinary—the kind of person who touches lives at every opportunity?

Your happiness, health and wealth are important to God. Think about your life for a minute. What would you change? What, if anything, is missing? Is it peace of mind? Maybe you haven’t been truly happy in quite some time. Do you desire love and companionship? Are there certain health challenges that you wish didn’t exist? Prosperity is God’s promise to solve every problem in your life. That’s how much He loves you. Now that’s something to be thankful for!

When someone says, “God loves you,” it’s not an exaggeration or a cliché. He cares about everything—even the smallest details of your life. He has a plan to make sure you receive more than enough of everything you need and desire so that you’ll be satisfied and able to help others. As we give thanks this holiday season, many of us are believing God for the overflow in every area of our lives, especially in our finances. But if we don’t praise God for what we have, we shouldn’t expect to receive more!

Your attitude determines your progress. Be thankful for all the ways God has blessed you. Once you show gratitude for what you already have, God gives more! There is a specific path that leads to your abundance, and your assignment in life is to discover that path and stay on it. You must choose between living a mediocre life that is marked by constant struggles and inadequacy, and a lavish life with more than enough health, happiness, joy, success, fulfillment and yes, even money.

Close your eyes and picture your future. If you see yourself lonely, sick or slaving over work that you hate while barely making ends meet, then your life is headed in the wrong direction. Your vision for the future should match God’s plan for you—He’s already made preparations for your complete satisfaction and fulfillment. Today, you can begin to pursue the love, wealth, enjoyment and empowerment you deserve by adjusting your attitude and embracing God’s promises on prosperity. Your future is worth the effort it takes to change the way you think. Every day, begin to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. God will reward you for it!

Creflo Dollar: Spiritual Farming

Spiritual Farming - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

I don’t know if you are familiar with farming, but the same principles farmers use to yield a bountiful harvest of vegetables or fruit are the same ones that Believers are supposed to use to experience the harvest of God’s blessings in their lives. Any farmer must first put seed in the ground before he can harvest his crop. Then, there is a waiting period in which he must be patient. During that time, he must watch over his crop to make sure it is properly watered and cared for, making sure that his field or garden is protected from animals or pests that may try to eat his goods! God’s system of operation is identical to natural farming in that it also operates by seed time and harvest. Christians are the spiritual “farmers” who must diligently plant seeds and exert effort to harvest their blessings.

In Mark 4:26–27 Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to seed–sowing: “And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.” Please understand, farming isn’t for the lazy person; it takes work! But even when you can’t see anything happening, have faith that your seed is growing and will produce a harvest in due season.

The first thing you must do in God’s spiritual farming system is plant the incorruptible seed of His Word in your heart. You do this by finding scriptures that pertain to your needs or desires and meditating on them constantly. By speaking them aloud over and over again, you release your faith until it becomes real to you. It won’t be long before you can see yourself walking in the blessing. Don’t get me wrong, just like any natural farmer, there will be times when you won’t feel like planting any seed. But keep speaking the Word until you are established in the promise. The more seed you have in the ground of your heart, the bigger your harvest will be.

It is also important that you protect your harvest from the “pests” of doubt, fear and unbelief. Satan will try to steal your harvest by sending contradictory circumstances and situations your way. He does this to try and keep you from standing firm on your faith, but don’t be swayed by his attempts. These are the times when you will need to dig your heels in and keep speaking the Word and praising God for your harvest.

Your words connect you to the blessings of God, so whatever you do, don’t speak negative words. Doing so could cost you your harvest. Never allow doubt and fear to enter your heart. This may mean separating yourself from people who don’t speak faith around you. Only listen to words that support what you are believing God for.

Be sure to keep your faith boosted by constantly feeding your spirit the Word. Not only does this contribute to your “planting,” but it also helps keep you in a position to continue believing God. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. In addition to speaking the Word yourself, listen to tapes and other resources to keep your faith bolstered. The more faith you release out of your mouth, the more faith you will need to put back into your spirit, so don’t slack off on your intake of the Word.

Don’t forget to protect your seed until you see the manifestation of the harvest. Do this by praising and thanking God while you wait. Even when you don’t see anything, don’t worry! Your seed is taking root and growing. Thank God for His promises coming to pass in your life before you see them. This creates an atmosphere of victory that will scare the devil and his buzzards off! He can’t stand it when you praise God.

You will instinctively know when your harvest time has come. It may take six months, or even six years. Regardless of the time frame, don’t get weary and remember that God is faithful to perform what He promised in His Word. Anything of value is worth waiting for and putting forth the effort to see become a reality. Don’t give up during your season of waiting; continue to operate the spiritual farming principles that God has set up for you in His kingdom. It won’t be long before your seed grows up into a mighty harvest that will bless you and all those who cross your path!

Creflo Dollar: The Battle for Your Garden

The Battle for Your Garden - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

There is a very real spiritual battle that is going on in the life of every Christian and it revolves around your spiritual “garden,” which is the ground of your heart. The enemy is constantly seeking to overtake Believers’ lives by planting the wrong kinds of seeds within them. He does this through thought injections that are designed to create wrong images in their minds. As a soldier in the army of the Lord, it is your responsibility to vigilantly guard your heart and mind with the Word of God. This will keep the weeds out of your garden and ensure that the seed of God’s Word grows up in your life to produce an abundant harvest.

Every day, Christians are barraged with images, words and suggestions that try to sway them away from the truth of God’s Word. Whether it is a news report that glorifies the work of the enemy, an ungodly television show or even a billboard that promotes an ungodly lifestyle, there is no escaping the fact that we live in an environment that is determined to plant the wrong seeds in us. But God has given us His bag of seed that we must plant in our hearts. It will grow healing, deliverance, financial wealth, joy, peace, happiness and all kinds of promises from God.

The key to making sure your garden stays “weed—free” is to guard it. You must continually keep scriptures before your eyes, in your ears and coming out of your mouth. Satan is on a mission to try and dominate your life and all he does to accomplish his goal is get you thinking about his suggestions. Though they may sound good, don’t take the bait.

It is critical that you become a custodian over your thought life and refuse to accept the enticement of the devil. Adam and Eve fell prey to his schemes in the Garden of Eden because they failed to guard what God had entrusted to them. Satan showed up in the form of a serpent and made a suggestion to Eve. His question, “Hath God said…?” planted a seed of doubt in her mind as to the validity of God’s instructions to her and her husband. Although God had already told them that if they ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil they would surely die, Satan challenged God’s Word. Isn’t that what he is doing today in the lives of Christians? God has said one thing, and he comes with a contradictory statement to try and get us to doubt or question whether or not God’s way is best.

Unfortunately, Adam and Eve succumbed to the temptation of the devil. Once they “took” his thought injection, they began to be moved by their emotion, noticing that the fruit looked good and appealed to their hunger cravings at the time. Their feelings led them to act in a way that separated them from their connection and fellowship with God. Their decision to disobey ushered a curse into the earth. They allowed the devil to pollute their garden simply by accepting his thoughts.

You may be wondering how you can avoid being infected by the enemy’s thoughts. Although you may not be able to stop the thoughts from coming, you don’t have to accept them when they come. The Bible gives clear instructions on how to handle ungodly thoughts when they show up. Second Corinthians 10:4,5 says, “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Your weapon against negative thoughts is the Word of God! When those suggestions come to your mind, open your mouth and confess God’s promises in faith. This is what it means to capture your thoughts and cast them down. There is no thought or imagination that can stand against the Word. It is the final authority in your life.

Don’t ever get slack where guarding your heart is concerned for the issues of your life flow out of it (Proverbs 4:23). Be a good custodian over your thought life and feed your spirit the Word of God on a continual basis. When you do, you will protect your garden and see the promises of God become a reality in your life.

Creflo Dollar: Can You Relate?

Can You Relate? - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

Many times Christians don’t realize the importance of operating according to the Kingdom of God system in every area of their lives, which is seed time and harvest. From finances to family, Believers are to use the seed principle of planting the Word of God in their hearts in order to experience abundance in every area of their lives. Relationships tend to be overlooked when it comes to living this way. Too often, Christians continue to conduct their marriage and family relationships, as well as their relationships with other members of the body of Christ, at a lower standard than God expects. However, only when you conduct your relationships God’s way will you experience true fulfillment.

In Matthew 22:37–40, Jesus lets us know that love is the greatest commandment. It is the preeminent force that must be operating in every Christian’s life in order for everything else to work. Love should be the foundation of every relationship that you have. If you have relationships with people that do not reflect God’s love, it is time to do a self–evaluation. Keeping love as the central focus of your interpersonal relationships is the process by which you align yourself with the Kingdom of God system when relating to others.

We know that if you expect to have success in relationships, you are going to have to do some seed–planting for what you are believing God for. Relationships are no different. Every fruitful relationship that you will experience will be as a result of seeds that you have sown.

You may be wondering what kinds of seeds will help to develop and bring forth good fruit in your relationships with others. First Corinthians 13 talks about the importance of love and it also describes the things that love is not. Envy, jealousy, pride, rudeness, selfishness, touchiness and unforgiveness have no place in the Christian’s relationships with others. In fact, if you sow these types of seeds, you will reap a corresponding harvest of destroyed fellowship and unhealthy relationships. However, when you sow the seeds of love—joy, peace, longsuffering, faith, goodness, meekness, gentleness and temperance—you will experience prosperous relationships.

Psalm 133:1 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” God’s will is that brothers and sisters in the Lord experience connection, fellowship and unity. Whether it is in family relationships or with fellow Christians, prosperous relationships are a critical part of the good life God has ordained for you. To be rich in finances but have no friends is to still have an area of poverty in your life. If you discover that your relationships with others are not what you would like them to be, consider taking these important steps:

  1. Forgive those who have wronged or hurt you. Forgiveness is a critical part of operating the Kingdom of God system in your relationships with others. Holding on to past hurts does nothing but hurt you. Let it go.
  2. Make a decision to always walk in love. Love is the curtain rod on which every other blessing and promise of God rests. You have to settle the love issue immediately if you want to experience prosperous relationships. It is not an option or a suggestion, it is a command!
  3. Sow seeds of love into others. The Bible says that seed time and harvest govern everything in life. If you want friends, show yourself friendly. If you want to experience a heavenly marriage, purpose to treat your spouse according to the Bible’s standards and not the world’s system. By sowing seeds of love and righteousness into the lives of others, you will reap a harvest of the same.

Don’t allow Satan or your past hurts to rob you of the chance to experience the type of relationships that God wants you to have. Forgive, forget and begin to make love a lifestyle. When you operate the Kingdom of God system of seed time and harvest, others will be drawn to the love of God flowing out of you, and you will begin to experience prosperity in your relationships.
