Dr. Creflo Dollar: Heaven Bound

Heaven Bound - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesIs God real? What about Satan? Is Heaven a literal place of existence? What about Hell? Everyday millions of people ponder these same questions. Struggling to gain truth of this matter is a reality for Believers and unbelievers alike. Millions of people believe life ends at death. They’ve concluded that death means sleeping and existing in a state of nothingness. However, the reality according to God’s Word is the grave is not the end!

As humans, we’re born into this physical world. We’re educated in this physical world, and therefore we only understand the things of this world. However, physical training does not equip us with the ability to comprehend spiritual things like the reality of life after death.

In order to understand this complex topic we must explore and understand the anatomy of man. Man is a spirit being—he doesn’t have a spirit, he is a spirit. He possesses a soul, where his emotions and intellect reside; and he lives in a physical body.

Because we live in a physical world, we’ve been trained to believe the physical body we see is our entire existence, but that’s untrue. The spirit of man is eternal—it lives forever. When we die, our spirit and soul separates from our physical body. Once that happens, we separate from the physical world, and are immediately born into the spirit world, where our spirit and soul will live forever.

Heaven, Hell, angels, and demons exist in the spirit realm, and when we depart from this physical realm and enter the spiritual realm, we will see the reality of this truth. The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. However this is only true for the person who is born again. For the person who is not born again, being absent from the body is to be present in Hell.

So what happens to the person who refuses to accept this truth, and dies having been bewitched by the world into thinking that Heaven and Hell aren’t real? The harsh reality of their self—made reservation to Hell will quickly set in, and the truth they’ve heard and rejected will torment them for eternity. Don’t let this happen to you!

I urge you to decide to make Jesus the Lord of your life now! Don’t allow another day to pass without knowing with certainty that you’re Heaven bound. Now is the acceptable time. You can be born again right now, wherever you are, by realizing and admitting that you are a sinner. Repent and ask God to forgive your sins; change your heart, your mind, and your direction. Then, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Once you complete these simple steps you’re saved and on your way to Heaven. Get connected to a Bible—based church, and allow the power of God to transform your life. You’ll be glad you did!

Creflo Dollar: Do All Religions Lead to God?

Do All Religions Lead to God? - Creflo DollarChristianity, Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Calvinism, Mormonism, Islam, what’s the difference? With great sensitivity, I embark on answering the age—old question many have pondered for centuries—Do all religions lead to God? As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, most of the world already knows my stance on this subject. Yet in this article my aim is not to bombard you with my personal thoughts, but rather give you information to consider if you or someone you know is struggling for a conclusion on this matter.

Rick Warren, a pastor and best—selling Christian author, offers an interesting interpretation to this highly debated inquiry. In response to the question, Do all religions lead to God, Warren answers: “Can I go into a phone booth and dial any phone number and get home? No, there’s only one number that’ll get me home. I could be sincere, but I could be sincerely wrong. The truth is, all roads don’t lead to Rome and all roads and all religions don’t lead to God“.

What a powerful statement! For those of you who need a reason to believe the Word, this statement will most certainly give you one. Although somewhat simplistic, Warren’s statement accurately supports the factuality of there being a solitary way to connect with God.

So how does one decide what’s the way to God? Should he or she research what religion has the best philosophies, or compare each religion to see which one makes the most sense? While some of my more theologically—inclined colleagues might applaud you for such efforts, I believe such research will subject you to the reasoning of men, and ultimately lead you away from the truth.

You connect with God by faith, not reasoning, which is why many people find it hard to understand me or accept my style of teaching. I don’t reason with the Bible, I just believe it. No one else in history, besides Jesus, died an agonizing death so I could be spared from Hell’s fire. Mohammad, Buddha, or the Dalai Lama did not give their life for me, so why should I follow them?

The one thing I want you to get out of this article is an understanding that Heaven is real, and so is Hell; when we die, we’re going to one or the other. So it’s time to stop the endless debates, and listen to Jesus—the only One who has died, went to Hell, and came back to tell about it! If you’re reading this article, I urge you to open your heart and let Jesus in. He’ll give you answers you’ve desired. Receive Him today, and allow Him to prove Himself to you; not because He has to, but because He loves you.

Creflo Dollar: The Woman You’ve Always Wanted to Be

The Woman You've Always Wanted to Be - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesBeing a woman in our current society is tough. TV shows, magazines, movies, and other media outlets attempt to convince women to measure themselves according to society’s standards. However, doing so limits the beauty of a woman. According to the world, you have to be a certain size, height, skin tone and have a certain type of hairstyle or clothing style to be considered beautiful. What does a woman do to uphold her self-image in a world where advertisements are flooded with influences that promote worldly beauty? That’s where she draws the line by refusing to conform to society’s image of beauty and renews her mind with the Word of God.

Due to impossible worldly standards, countless women have developed a poor self–image. Fear of not measuring up has caused them to develop harmful habits to prove their beauty and self—worth. For example, some women may spend all their money trying to keep up with the latest styles in beauty, fashion, and nearly starving themselves just to be thin. However, this type of behavior almost always leads to self-destruction.

Women who have problems with their self–image are often bitter, angry and attitudinal. When a woman doesn’t know how to treat herself, she will most likely mistreat others. The Bible tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves. However, if you’ve never learned to love yourself, you can’t possibly love anyone else.

Proverbs 31 is an excellent guide for all women, because this woman doesn’t suffer from a poor self—image. Interestingly, the proverb doesn’t describe this woman’s physical appearance, yet by her works we see her beauty radiated from within. I’m not saying run yourself into the ground trying to do everything this woman did! However, take note of how she lived her life and became a woman who was celebrated above all women. She was a woman of elegance and extraordinary intelligence because she honored God.

Proverbs 31:10 says the price of a virtuous woman is far above rubies. She is rare, precious, and esteemed above treasured jewels. As a woman, you have to understand your worth according to God’s Word. You can be the woman you’ve always wanted to be when you begin to see yourself as God sees you.

Make a quality decision to define your standard of beauty by the Word of God. When your self–confidence comes as a result of a personal relationship with God, you’ll realize that you’re loved, precious, and beautiful in His sight!

Creflo Dollar: Changing, Growing, Becoming!

Changing, Growing, Becoming! - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesI came across a quote today that profoundly impacted me. The quote, from Charles Dubois, epitomizes the life of a Christian. It says, “The most important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.” Wow! I can’t think of a better quote that precisely and insightfully captures the true calling of Christianity.

Are you willing to sacrifice what you are now, in order to become what God has called you to be? If you’re a Christian, this is a question you need to honestly ask yourself. If your answer is no, you’ll remain stagnant in your current state—never experiencing the result of change or the beauty of growth.

For a born—again Christian, change is a necessary and perpetual facet of life. In order to become everything God has called us to be, not only do we have to embrace change, we have to learn to love it. God makes masterpieces on the canvas of our lives; and everyday we have the opportunity to work with Him in creating a work of art. By the leading of His Spirit, we must be willing to make the necessary adjustments so God can continue the work He started in us.

Do you know what happens to a person who becomes so complacent in their current existence they refuse to change? They never grow, and in extreme cases, they live their entire life with unfulfilled greatness. Don’t let that be your story!

Jesus was a great example of what it means to sacrifice what we are, for what we can become. He embodied change, and allowed His entire life to be a sacrifice. As a result, He now sits at the right hand of the Father. Notice, however, what He ultimately achieved began with His willingness to lay down all for God’s will.

Just think, if Jesus hadn’t willingly sacrificed His life, you and I would not have unrestricted access to the Father. I don’t know about you, but the sacrifice Jesus made motivates me to sacrifice what I am, so I can grow and become what God has destined me to be.

Do you really want to grow into the person God’s called you to be? Because if you do, then change is the order of business! Don’t be consumed with what you are right now; submit your life to God as a sacrifice, and focus on what you will become.

Creflo Dollar: Grace and the Law

Grace and the Law - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

by: Creflo Dollar

When we struggle with issues that are too big to handle on our own, maybe it’s time to turn them over to God. Many of us have a tendency to do everything ourselves, and then get frustrated when things don’t improve. On a spiritual level, this is called operating under the Law, instead of under grace. You may have heard the term “Let go and let God,” which simply means having the wisdom to allow Him to handle our problems as only He can.

God’s wisdom is not the world’s wisdom, and we can’t begin to understand His comprehensive plans and purposes. Instead of trying to force things to happen through our own works, relying on His grace yields better results. By their very nature, our works are dependent on the Law. Jesus is Grace, and trusting in Him empowers our lives.

During the time of Moses, the people didn’t have grace yet; they only had a pair of stone tablets to govern their actions. Anyone not following the Law was condemned to death. But when Jesus came and fulfilled the laws of old, He breathed life into them (Hebrews 10:16, NIV). Jesus’ laws are based on life, not death, and they govern our hearts.

It takes courage to step out in faith and trust that God’s grace will be sufficient to carry us through. But when we reflect on the implications of Jesus’ finished works, we can begin to see the big picture. God is love, and Jesus was the Father’s love in human form. His entire ministry on earth was about His love for us.

God’s love is big and powerful, victorious and all-encompassing. The world operates under the Law in fear and defeat, but under the Law the magnitude of His grace is not recognized. Jesus is Grace Himself, but the world doesn’t know Him or realize the need for Him in all situations. When we take Him into our hearts and realize that we no longer have to live in fear of condemnation, we also are set apart from the world (John 14:17, AMP).

Creflo Dollar: Single and Whole

Single and Whole - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Whether you are single because you are divorced, widowed or simply have yet to connect with Mr. or Ms. Right, I urge you to cherish the life you have been blessed with. Contrary to popular belief you arenot half of a person because you are not married. You are complete in God, and set aside for His use. In this season in your life, realize your God-given uniqueness in the eyes of your Heavenly Father. There is no one else in the world just like you. And while you may not have discovered it fully, God has a specific plan and purpose for your life, no matter your age. There is something you can do, a void only you can fill. If you are not enjoying your singleness, and seeking God’s will for your life, you are doing yourself and others an injustice. This could be one of the best and most fruitful times of your life if you would wholeheartedly embrace it and allow God to use you to be a blessing in the lives of others.

It is not unusual for singles, especially Christian singles, to feel pressured to be in a relationship. Society, through entertainment and the media, depicts the life of a Christian single as lonely and boring. Many Christian singles say other Christians make them feel like outcasts as well. However, Paul who wrote a large portion of the New Testament was happy being single—even Jesus was single!

Your life as a single Christian doesn’t have to be filled with gloom. Look around. There are plenty of happy and fulfilled single Christians out there, so there is no excuse. If you are not doing so, start living your life to the fullest today!

Creflo Dollar: Expressing Faith for Results

Expressing Faith for Results - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

When you’re struggling unsuccessfully with a problem in your life, maybe it’s because you’re trying to handle it all on your own. Asking friends and family members for help might provide a temporary solution for a while. But, no matter how strong or able-bodied you may be, sometimes life can be overwhelming. Having faith can make the difference between success and failure, but many of us don’t understand the spiritual impact faith has on our lives.

The world can talk about having faith in yourself, faith in others, or faith in some sort of earthly doctrine. But faith in the Biblical sense connects us to God and His tremendous power to help us right at our point of need. True faith compels us to take a course of action, with no solid proof, visible to our own senses, that our desired outcome even exists. Exhibiting this kind of faith releases God’s power to intervene.

A number of stories in the Bible illustrate how faith produced results in people’s lives. One example describes that while Jesus was speaking to a crowd of followers someone suffering from health problems approached Him for help. “Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, ‘If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.’ Jesus turned and saw her. ‘Take heart, daughter,’ he said, ‘your faith has healed you.’ And the woman was healed at that moment,” (Matthew 9: 20-22, NIV).

Succeeding in Everything You Do

Succeeding in Everything You Do - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Two dictionary definitions of success are to achieve a desired outcome, or to reach a goal one has set for oneself. Depending on what we want out of life, success can mean many things and can be reached by multiple paths. These definitions focus on our own self-efforts to get what we want, but the Bible has a whole different perspective of success. Worldly success can be fleeting and hollow, but God wants us to have the true and lasting success that only comes from Him.

We’ve all heard stories of rich business owners who chased after money at all costs only to lose it all, famous movie stars who committed suicide, or fabulously wealthy entertainers who were miserable and lonely. What many people go their entire lives without realizing is that true success and prosperity comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Grace-based prosperity is rooted in our willingness to depend on His abilities, not ours.

God wants us to succeed in every area of our lives, not just financially. As our heavenly Father, He wants us, His children, to experience financial prosperity. But God’s definition of prosperity goes way beyond money. His will for us includes a healthy body and mind, a tranquil, born-again spirit, a happy marriage, and a peaceful family life (3 John 1:2).

The definition of grace is God’s unmerited, undeserved, and unearned favor, and our faith in it gives us access to it. When we truly believe in our hearts that God wants this kind of grace-based prosperity for us, it will eventually come to pass. Our present circumstances don’t matter at all when we let God take charge of our lives. We can learn from the Bible story about Joseph, who was sold into slavery but became highly successful because of God’s favor (Genesis 39:1-3).

Joseph could have turned bitter because of what life had thrown at him, and he could have strive through his own efforts to change his circumstances. But instead, he relied on the Lord, and God caused him to prosper in everything and become a ruler over Egypt. Joseph’s master trusted him because Joseph was honest, wise, and had a good work ethic and a godly character (Genesis 39:4-6).

Creflo Dollar: Designed for Relationships

Designed for Relationships - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Did you know that God created mankind for the purpose of establishing relationships? Genesis 2:18 says that in the beginning, He created Adam, and decided it was not good for him to be alone. He created Eve, and said she was help that was “meet” for him, meaning she was someone suitable (or proper) for him. Why did Adam need help? He needed help to develop out of self-centeredness. With Eve in his life, God knew Adam would always be challenged to consider someone other than himself.

God established the institution of marriage between Adam and Eve for the purpose of eliminating their “aloneness.” We need companionship for reasons far greater than just satisfying a lonely heart. With Eve by his side, Adam was forced to fight his selfishness. By loving someone else, he would become a better man.

This does not apply only to married people. This applies to every relationship we will ever have as human beings, including our relationship with the Father Himself. Yes, He wants to have a relationship with us! We were designed for relationships. Relationships far exceed having fun times together with friends. God views relationships as covenants.

We all need to learn to establish covenant relationships. We need someone in our lives to help us develop. For example, single people need to establish covenant relationships to help them grow out of selfishness. All relationships are designed to help us mature in unconditional love—the God-kind of love.

God created us in His image; however, we can never totally be like Him with a self-centered mindset. God is love. Therefore His foundation for everything is love, not selfishness. Although it is good for us to love ourselves, it is not good to disregard everyone else in the process! Healthy self-love serves as the foundation for the love we distribute to others. And we cannot truly love ourselves and others without first receiving that God loves us with a relentless, unfailing, everlasting love.
